The structure adjacent to the exit of staircase on G/F which is served as Mean of Escape (MOE) may:

  • obstruct fire escape routes that may lead to great casualties in case of fire.
  • affect the protection against the spread of fire and smoke that constitute obvious fire hazard to life or property, i.e. not complying with the building standards laid down for building works in the Building Regulations.
  • constitute fire risks endangering the safety of life or property.
