Unauthorised signboards that can be validated should meet the requirements under the Buildings Ordinance and its subsidiary regulations, Building (Minor Works) Regulation and should comply with:
- the construction requirements
- the positional and dimensional requirements
- the relevant requirements of concerned departments such as Fire Services Department, Transport Department and Highways Department
