Supporting structures or metal casings for a building services installation (BSI) located on-grade, on a canopy or on a roof

Contractors can only undertake the relevant classes or items of minor works for which they have been registered.

Class I

The supporting structure or casing is located on-grade/on a canopy (other than a cantilevered slab) or on a roof (other than a cantilevered slab)
For the supporting structure:
- Height of the supporting structure
  - for an antenna or transceiver
    ≤ 2.5m; or
  - for other BSI
    ≤ 1.5m; and
For the casing:
- Weight
  ≤ 10% of the weight of the BSI
- Distance between inner surface of casing and installation
  ≤ 200mm

Class III

3.50

The supporting structure or casing is located on-grade/on a roof (other than a cantilevered slab and an inaccessible roof)
For the supporting structure:
- Design weight capacity for a BSI
  - ≤ 200kg; and
  - ≤ 100kg/m² of the ground or slab area
- Height of the supporting structure
  - for an antenna or transceiver
    ≤ 2.5m; or
  - for other BSI
    ≤ 1.5m; and
For the casing:
- Weight
  ≤ 10% of the weight of the BSI
- Distance between inner surface of casing and installation
  ≤ 200mm
