Self-certification System for Non-purpose Built School and Kindergarten
With a view to streamlining the application process, the Buildings Department (BD) has implemented Self-certification System for non-purpose built school and kindergarten which provides an option to the applicant to engage an authorized person (AP)/registered structural engineer (RSE) to verify compliance with building safety requirements to expedite the issue of the requisite certificates and notice.

Licensing Self-certification Portal
"Licensing Self-certification Portal" (LSCP) provides a one-stop electronic communication platform which enables paperless submissions of AP/RSE’s certificates and processing of the corresponding applications. LSCP operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week all year round, excluding scheduled maintenance and unexpected downtime. LSCP caters submissions to the BD in relation to registration of the following:
- School in premises not designed and constructed for the purposes of school
- Child care centres
- Premises for conducting a course of the non-local higher and professional education
