Enforcement actions against existing unauthorised building works (UBWs) constituting serious contravention of the law and imposing higher potential risks

According to the powers vested in Buildings department (BD) under section 24(1) of the Buildings Ordinance, BD actively issue removal orders to owners of existing UBWs constituting serious contravention of the law and imposing higher potential risks requiring them to remove the UBWs so as to safeguard public safety.
