Emergency Services
BD maintains a 24-hour emergency service in close liaison with the police command and control centres. Officers are on duty round-the-clock to deal with emergencies affecting the safety of private buildings.
Emergency Control Centre
An Emergency Control Centre is activated:
- upon hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 and in times of very severe and prolonged rainfall
- or when there are natural disasters affecting private buildings or slopes
The centre coordinates expeditious professional services on dangerous:
- buildings
- hillsides
- scaffolding
- signboards
