Special work arrangement of New Buildings Divisions of Buildings Department in 2020

Notice to Registered Building Professionals and Registered Contractors Work Arrangement of New Buildings Divisions of Buildings Department from 23 November 2020

In view of the latest situation of the epidemic and in order to reduce the risk of social contacts and the spread of COVID-19 in the community, all AP/RSE Rooms in the New Building Divisions (NBD) office will be closed temporarily from 23 November 2020 until further notice. In addition, work tables will not be placed at the lobbies of the NBD office. If required, the case officers may contact AP/RSE/RGE to clarify issues related to approval of plan submissions via telephone or email. Case discussions may also be conducted via video conferencing. All other public services (including the Receipt and Dispatch Counter services) will remain normal.

BD will continue to closely liaise with the relevant professional institutions and stakeholder organisations in our review of the above arrangement.
