Special work arrangement of New Buildings Divisions of Buildings Department in 2020

Notice to Registered Building Professionals and Registered Contractors about Buildings Department's special work arrangements between February 3 to 9

To reduce the risk of the spread of novel coronavirus in the community, the Buildings Department (BD) will implement temporary arrangements for maintaining limited basic public services from 3 to 9 February 2020. Regarding statutory submissions for new developments received, BD will focus on processing plans, consent applications and occupation permit applications approaching due dates as well as the related site inspections. The situation will be closely monitored and reviewed in a timely manner. Please contact us by email at vhs@bd.gov.hk for enquiries on urgent matters regarding statutory submissions.

For specified forms and supporting documents required to be submitted under the Minor Works Control System, the Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme and the Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme, as well as applications for registration and renewal of registration of building professionals and contractors under the Buildings Ordinance, you can place them into the drop-in box located at G/F, Buildings Department Headquarters, North Tower, West Kowloon Government Offices, 11 Hoi Ting Road, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon, during the period from 10 am to 4 pm from February 3 to 9. BD will issue receipt / acknowledgement of the submission in due course.
