A Guide to Window Safety

Windows falling from multi-storey buildings in a densely populated area like Hong Kong could be hazardous. In most cases, the window failures are due to the lack of regular inspection and proper maintenance. Windows, if not properly used and maintained, may dislodge and cause serious consequences leading to personal injury and property damage to others.

Building owners and occupants have the responsibility to carry out regular checks and proper maintenance of windows in their premises. They must ensure that the windows are in good working conditions.

Here are some guidelines to help you keep your windows safe.
