Summary of Gross Floor Area (GFA) Concessions in private developments
In Hong Kong, the design and construction of private developments are subject to the control under the Buildings Ordinance. In the approval of building plans, GFA may be disregarded or exempted under the Buildings Ordinance and allied regulations. For areas within some private developments dedicated for public passage or acquired by the Government for the purpose of street widening, bonus GFA may be granted under the Building (Planning) Regulations.
In order to enhance the transparency, the information on GFA concessions in private developments is now published on BD's website. This webpage aims to provide this information for developments with GFA concessions completed on or after 1 September 2010 for public reference. We will from time to time update and add on more information to the list on a monthly basis. For detailed breakdown of GFA concessions for individual development, please visit our BRAVO system (http://bravo.bd.gov.hk) for inspection and copying of the building records.
